Available to rent for the first time in its long and venerable history, Goodnestone Park is the much-loved family seat of Julian, 22nd Lord FitzWalter Built by his ancestors in 1704 and lived in by the family ever since, the house has recently emerged from a dramatic restoration that took it down to its bare bones and the new incarnation is a sensational take on the original. A stunning drawing room overlooking the village cricket pitch, a formal dining room and well stocked library with early editions and the first floor Jane Austen sitting room complement beautiful bedroom suites offering up to 24 guests the opportunity to experience quintessentially English gracious living at its best.
The house is set in 150 acres of stunning park land with 15 acres of beautifully cultivated gardens and is the perfect place to host a corporate event. From board meetings and product launches to company celebrations, there really is no better setting. The dining room is equipped perfectly for meetings, with a projector and screen available for use by guests and with a board room table to seat 24. The three other reception rooms, with their distinct characters, all fusions of modernity and history, provide spaces to discuss matters more informally.
For larger meetings there is the Orangery style Coach House which seats up to 140 in theatre style layout and adjacent to that is The Old Dairy which provides the perfect space for lunches and dinners for up to 100 guests, equipped with its own bar and catering kitchen. Or you can create a unique event on one of the many lawns with a beautiful marquee in a variety of styles from conventional to Arabian, Indian, Tipi, sailcloth or stretch.
Above all, as a corporate venue Goodnestone Park offers unrivalled style, comfort and discretion in a setting of total seclusion, with a selection of expert caterers and a well stocked cellar to entertain your guests.
The house is available to rent for 2 or 3 night weekends, for one or more nights midweek or for day only events mid week.
